How to connect your tools

Most tools take one sign-in. Housecall Pro and Stripe take a few steps, here one at a time.

Sign in and you are done

Housecall Pro: your API key

Before you start: Needs Housecall Pro's MAX plan. On another plan? Skip this; James will text you each booking. Sign in as an Admin: only Admins can make an API key.

  1. Sign in to Housecall Pro and go to My Apps, then All Apps.
  2. Find API Key Management: scroll the All apps page or use the search bar. Open it.
  3. Click Generate API Key.
  4. Name the key James, pick Full access (James books jobs, so read-only is not enough), then click Generate key.
  5. Copy the API key it shows you. Being checked
  6. Paste it in your James setup.
